I met with Kim + Jon for their engagement session at the Park of Roses in Columbus. If you’ve never been, it is absolutely gorgeous! These two have been together for TEN years and they’re so excited to tie the knot this month! They met in college at Ohio University and last year Jon proposed at Strouds Run State Park in Athens, Ohio. I went to OU during my first year of college and one of my absolute favorite places with Strouds Run. They had a private, intimate proposal surrounded by the beauty of nature!
We started out the session with Kim + Jons precious pups, Reba and Harry! They are senior rescue dogs and sooo stinkin’ adorable! As soon as Jon + Kim told me they did rescue, I considered them bffs. I’ve worked with Doxie rescues before and I know how much work it can be (but so, so rewarding!) Anyone who has the heart to help animals in that way is an angel on earth. I was soooo impressed with Reba + Harry – it only took a few treat bag ruffles to get them looking towards the camera! 🙂
Throughout the session I could tell how well these two connected! They were such naturals despite not having been in front of the camera many times! This can be such a nerve-wracking thing if you’ve never been a picture-person, but they absolutely rocked it. Kim had the cutest outfits (I think I NEED to buy that orange dress!!!) I will also add we bonded over being Netflix bingers and huge fans of the Hulu series “A Handmaid’s Tale.” If you haven’t seen it, you need to go watch it now! So good!
I’m so excited for Jon + Kim’s big day coming up at the end of May at Scioto Audubon Metro Park! <3
