HELLO! In case you’ve been sleeping for past, I don’t know, 15 years, you may not be aware that we are living in a very technological age. We all have smart phones, social media accounts, and access to programs galore. Everyone is a “master” of everything and, sometimes, it seems so hard to stand out. Listen Linda, talent still exists. Even though everyone has access to all of these things, it doesn’t make them a professional.
PHOTOGRAPHY IS RELEVANT! I don’t just mean pictures. I mean the art of photography coming from someone who is trained to use a camera and dedicates their time to creating memories in the form of photos. I’ll let that sink in for a bit … Photographers know their stuff. They know how to work the lighting and the pose. They know how to perfect the angle and the outfit. They know how to nail the exposure (most of the time). The editing. The everything! I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to only have grainy iPhone photos of my wedding in 10 years. I want REAL, CLEAR, and BEAUTIFUL photos. Cell phones and even every day cameras are becoming more and more advanced but they won’t ever replace the person behind those devices. Photographers know their stuff, trust me!
If you want to toss aside their talent, take into consideration their EXPERIENCE. They have shot countless senior sessions, countless weddings, and even more families. They know when the best moments happen. They know how to get everyone to smile. They know how to capture the very special moments that you’ll want to remember forever. They know it all and it really shows in their work.
If you ever find yourself contemplating NOT booking a photographer because of their cost, please consider the above. This is real, this is talent, they are professionals! You will want to cherish these moments forever and you’ll want something appealing to look at! We can’t ALL be professional photographers with our iPhone 7’s and our Instagram filters.
So my challenge for you is to find a photographer that is PERFECT for you. Find a photographer that inspires you and makes you feel something. Hire them. Trust them. Appreciate them. They will be grateful. I promise.
