We recently applied to become a foster home for dogs through the Sophia Grace Foundation. This foundation helps rescue dogs all over the East coast and foster them until someone is able to adopt them! Through the process they ensure the dogs are taken care of, vetted, and loved well.
Once they are placed in a safe home to be fostered, the foster parent and foundation work together to find the pup an amazing family. On Sunday, we got to meet these two rescue dogs named Mindy + Bruno! Their owner passed away suddenly so they were brought into the foundation to be rescued. We are currently fostering them and learning more about their personalities. We are also in the process of finding them a forever home, so what better way than online! We know that everyone has a soft spot for doggies, so please share this post in hopes of finding the perfect match for each of them. <3
Hi there, I’m Mindy! This picture displays me perfectly… a little bit of ornery but a whole lotta cute!!! I’m a Dachshund, 7 years young, and can’t wait to find the perfect family that will love me forever. I often like to play and run around but I don’t really like being picked up by humans! For that reason, I would do best in a home with older children or no children. I’m somewhat sassy but love snuggles! In fact, I nap quite often. If you give me a dog bed, I will curl up in it for hours! I am very easy going and don’t bark very often (with the exception of the mailman of course) I get along well with other dogs and I’m potty trained! Here’s a few more photos of me…
Hello, I’m Bruno! I’m a Dachshund mix (possibly beagle) and super handsome. I don’t know how to count in human, but I think I’m around 1 and a half years old! I’m shy at first and get scared easily, but love being around humans and giving lots of kisses once I get to know you! I love to cuddle and always want to be near you (including at nighttime) I am good with other dogs and cats but overall am very relaxed. I am house trained but occasionally have accidents if something scares me. I love walks/spending time outside with my human. Everyone loves my gorgeous brown and tan colors with a hint of white on my chest and neck! Another great quality about me is that I don’t like to chew stuff! I will, however, roll around on your couch and pillows/blankets and take lots of naps! I would make a great companion for a family. Here’s a few more photos of me:
