When Amie first contacted me last year about photographing her wedding, I could tell how invested she was in finding the PERFECT vendors for her big day. From our very first meeting to the wedding day, Amie and Shawn have been a dream couple. We spent their engagement session on Shawn’s family farm (I spent the majority of it running from cows 😛 ) and kept shooting until the sun went down. They were up for all of my ideas, and never complained when I asked them to smile until their faces hurt. After their engagement session, Shawn and Amie sent me the sweetest gift to show their gratitude. This just goes to show the type of people they are!
One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was when Amie asked her maid of honor to deliver a secret gift to Shawn. For the past year, she has written love letters to Shawn in a leather journal. She wrote about the entire engagement/wedding process from choosing the perfect dress to all of the emotions she felt leading up to their wedding. Shawn was only allowed to read the first few pages, but this emotional moment was something he will never forget. I teared up watching him flip through each page, the first being dated May of 2015.
I would also like to add that the “bubble” exit was one of my favorite parts of the day! so much fun.
