Kim + Jon are MARRIED!! I shared their engagement session at Park of Roses a couple months back and now it’s time to share their wedding day! One thing that made this wedding so special is that these two had been together for TEN years before their big day. They have walked through so many highs and lows in life with the other by their side. Sometimes I meet a couple and I just know.. these two are absolutely 100% meant for each other. This is exactly how I felt when I first met Jon and Kim.
We started the wedding day at the Hotel Leveque in Downtown Columbus. Kim decided to have very close and intimate wedding day with a small bridal party of one person for each of them. I joked at how quiet the hotel room was with just Kim, her sister and maid of honor, and Mom! It was such a relaxing and peaceful time before the wedding day and couldn’t have been more perfect. Some of the details shots were done in the lobby of the Hotel Leveque and they’re some of my favorites! Kim had the prettiest details and colors. I told her it was a photographers dream!!!
After the girls were ready, we headed over to the ceremony and reception location, the Grange Audobon Insurance Center in Scioto Audobon Metro Park. I’ve shot at this area a few times before and I knew how breathtaking the skyline and fields of grass were, so I knew we would be in for a treat come wedding day! These two shared the most special first look. I love Jon’s reaction in the images below! Kim is so stunning and her dress was simple and elegant – perfect for her!! <3
After the Ceremony, we had heavy rain which wasn’t ideal for portraits. We waited it out for awhile and finally during the reception the rain let up for 15 minutes of portraits. Even though the weather did not behave for us, I left the day feeling 100% confident in the portraits we had because shooting these two was a breeze!! They were total naturals and we were able to get hundreds of portraits in our short amount of photo time.
At the end of the night, I left knowing I had not only two amazing clients, but new friends. I loved following their honeymoon travels through social media!! These two love to travel and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a tiny bit jealous!! 🙂
I hope you enjoy these images from Jon and Kim’s beautiful wedding!
