Towards the end of summer, Kylie and I visited Georgetown Vineyards and I haven’t got around to posting about it yet. Though those summer months have come to an end, I HAVE to share this experience with you!
I moved to Zanesville, Ohio a couple of years ago but this is a place that I love going to when I go back to my hometown. Georgetown Vineyards sits on top of a scenic ridge, overlooking Cambridge, Ohio and it has one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. Growing up in what I thought was a small, boring town… it’s hard to believe that something like this even exists here!
Not going to lie, I went for the wine tasting (insert heart eyes here). If you ever visit, my absolute favorite of all time is the Rhubarb Wine! Aside from their very LARGE assortment of wines, they also serve homemade brick oven pizzas (yum) and craft beer from Southside Brewing Co. They were founded in 1999 and are family-owned and operated. You can definitely expect warm hospitality here! Their website explains their venue as “very casual, welcoming, and laid-back” and I would totally have to agree. When you’re there, it’s like there isn’t a stranger around (but that may be the wine talking ;). To make your visit even more special, they have live-entertainment most days – it’s all around an incredibly relaxing experience!
SERIOUSLY, if you’ve never been, you should really really take some time to visit and see what it’s all about. Their hours are Mon-Thurs 11am-5pm and Fri-Sat 11am-8pm. To learn more about them, you can head over to: www.georgetownvineyards.com.
